Our Mission Meet Katherine
|
Vermont Massage and Wellness provides our clients with competent, compassionate, and professional therapeutic massage services that are both reasonable in cost and accessible to all those who may benefit from massage therapy. We also act as an advocate and resource for healthy living.

Katherine Freund is a graduate of Touchstone Healing Arts School of Massage and is a Certified Member of the Associated
Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP). Her 650+ hour massage
certification training focused on clinical
massage therapy including swedish and deep tissue techniques as well as
foot reflexology, trigger point therapy, hydrotherapy, and chair massage. Katherine spent 6 months working as a massage therapist for Dr. Suzy
Harris at Cedarwood
Chiropractic as well as offering therapeutic massage to residents of the Converse Home.
Katherine completed the Advanced Deep Tissue training course with
Stephen O'Dweyer, CNMT which prepared her to work on specific muscles
and muscle groups to relieve muscle tension and decrease pain more
effectively and efficiently than swedish techniques alone. Currently
Katherine also works as a massage therapist for Oasis Day Spa in Williston. Graduating from the
University of Vermont with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies in 2004, Katherine has a passion for learning about people and how best to empower them to live their best life. In Fall 2010, Katherine will be attending UVM to pursue graduate studies in Social Work. Don't worry, she will still be offering massage! "I have always enjoyed nurturing others, working with my hands, and promoting wellness. So this business is a joy; it allows me to combine my talents and interests to serve the community." |
